Crossmark Policy

The Faculty of Law, Universitas Pattimura, is committed to maintaining the integrity, transparency, and permanence of the scholarly record. To support this commitment, all journals published through the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pattimura Online Journals, participate in the Crossmark service provided by Crossref.

The Crossmark logo enables readers to verify that they are viewing the most current and authoritative version of a scholarly work. By selecting the Crossmark logo, readers can determine whether an article is current or whether updates have been issued after publication.

Version of Record

The Version of Record is the final, definitive, and citable version of an article that has successfully completed the editorial and production process and has been formally published by the journal.

Once published, the Version of Record will not be altered except through approved post-publication updates.

Types of Updates

To preserve the integrity of the scholarly record, the journals may publish the following types of post-publication updates when appropriate:

Correction

Corrections are issued when errors are identified that do not invalidate the overall findings of the published work but require clarification or amendment.

Retraction

Articles may be retracted when significant errors, ethical violations, plagiarism, data fabrication, or other circumstances render the published findings unreliable.

Expression of Concern

An Expression of Concern may be published while an investigation into potential problems with a publication is ongoing.

Withdrawal

In exceptional circumstances, content may be withdrawn in accordance with the journal's publishing policies and accepted publication ethics.

Crossmark Metadata

The Crossmark record associated with an article may include additional publication information when available, including:

  • Publication history
  • Funding information
  • License information
  • Publisher information
  • Other publication record metadata supported by Crossref

Publication Ethics

The journals follow internationally accepted standards of publication ethics and editorial integrity. Editorial decisions and post-publication updates are made in accordance with the journal's ethical policies and recognized best practices for scholarly publishing.

Reader Notification

Whenever an update affects a published article, the Crossmark record will be updated to reflect the current publication status. Readers are encouraged to consult the Crossmark record before citing or relying upon published content.
