Focus and Scope
Jurnal Saniri is a peer-reviewed legal journal published by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pattimura, Indonesia. The journal provides an international scholarly forum for academics, researchers, legal practitioners, policymakers, legal observers, students, and other scholars interested in Constitutional Law and Administrative Law, as well as related areas of public law and governance.
Jurnal Saniri welcomes original and substantive scholarly contributions from authors from all countries and legal traditions. The journal encourages doctrinal, theoretical, empirical, socio-legal, comparative, and interdisciplinary research addressing contemporary constitutional, administrative, institutional, and governance issues at national, regional, and international levels.
The journal particularly welcomes research relating to:
- Constitutional Law and Constitutionalism;
- Administrative Law and Administrative Justice;
- Environmental Law and Environmental Governance;
- Labour and Employment Law;
- Governance and Public Administration;
- Regional Government, Decentralization, and Local Governance;
- Public Policy, Regulation, and Governance;
- Agrarian and Land Law;
- Taxation, Public Finance, and Fiscal Governance; and
- Other related areas of Public Law and Governance.
Jurnal Saniri has a particular interest in the constitutional and administrative dimensions of island and archipelagic societies. This includes, but is not limited to, constitutional and administrative challenges arising from geographical fragmentation, decentralization, regional autonomy, island and coastal governance, public service delivery across geographically dispersed territories, indigenous and local governance, environmental and natural-resource governance, and other public-law challenges affecting island and archipelagic communities.
The journal welcomes comparative and cross-jurisdictional studies examining legal systems, institutions, and governance experiences across countries and regions. Studies focusing on a single jurisdiction are also welcome where they demonstrate broader theoretical, comparative, legal, institutional, or international relevance.
Jurnal Saniri aims to contribute to international scholarship on constitutionalism, administrative law, public governance, and Island & Archipelagic Public Law, while providing a platform for diverse legal perspectives and experiences from different jurisdictions and legal traditions.
