Jurnal Saniri is a peer-reviewed open access journal published by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pattimura, Indonesia. The journal provides an international scholarly forum for academics, researchers, practitioners, and legal scholars to publish original research articles and review articles in the fields of Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Public Law, and Governance.

Jurnal Saniri welcomes scholarly contributions from all countries, legal traditions, and jurisdictions. The journal particularly encourages research that examines the constitutional and administrative dimensions of island and archipelagic societies, including issues of geographical fragmentation, decentralization, regional autonomy, island and coastal governance, public service delivery, environmental and natural-resource governance, and other public-law issues affecting island and archipelagic communities.

The journal is not geographically restricted to Indonesia or any particular region. Studies focusing on a single jurisdiction are welcome when they offer substantive and broader scholarly relevance, while comparative and cross-jurisdictional research is particularly encouraged.

Jurnal Saniri provides immediate open access to its published content, supporting the free and wider dissemination of legal scholarship and facilitating global knowledge exchange. The journal is published twice a year, in May and November.

Jurnal Saniri has been nationally accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia under Decree No. 862/DST/D.D1/HM.01.01/2026 (SINTA 4). The accreditation is valid from Vol. 4 No. 1, 2023 through Vol. 8 No. 2, 2027.

Global Contributions Welcome

Jurnal Saniri welcomes original research from scholars worldwide and from all geographical regions and legal jurisdictions. The journal particularly encourages submissions that examine Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Public Law, and Governance within specific jurisdictions, compare legal and governance systems across different jurisdictions, or develop broader theoretical, empirical, socio-legal, comparative, historical, or interdisciplinary perspectives.

Research does not need to focus on Indonesia or any particular geographical region. Jurnal Saniri welcomes scholarship on constitutional, administrative, public-law, and governance issues wherever the research makes a substantive and original contribution to the field and is relevant to its international scholarly readership.

Studies concerning island and archipelagic societies are especially welcome, but this perspective is not a geographical limitation. Rather, it represents a distinctive scholarly interest through which constitutional, administrative, governance, and public-law questions may be examined across different jurisdictions and legal traditions.
