Author Fees

Article Processing Charge (APC)

SASI does not charge any fee for manuscript submission, initial editorial screening, peer review, revision, or obtaining an editorial decision. An Article Processing Charge (APC) is applicable only to manuscripts that have been formally accepted for publication.

The standard Article Processing Charge is:

IDR 2,000,000 (two million Indonesian Rupiah) per accepted article

The APC is payable only after the manuscript has received a formal acceptance decision. Authors are not required to make any payment before or during the editorial and peer-review process.

What the APC Covers

The APC covers the routine publication services associated with publishing an accepted article in SASI, including the preparation and publication of the article in the journal's online platform.

The APC is a publication charge. It is not a fee for manuscript submission, editorial screening, peer review, editorial decision-making, or preferential treatment in the editorial process.

Editorial Independence and APC

Payment of the APC has no influence on the editorial evaluation, peer-review process, editorial decision, or acceptance of a manuscript. Editorial decisions are made independently of financial considerations and are based on the journal's editorial policies and scholarly standards.

A manuscript must receive formal acceptance before the APC becomes payable. Payment of the APC does not guarantee publication if subsequent publication requirements, ethical requirements, or other applicable journal policies are not satisfied.

Other Author Fees

SASI does not charge any additional mandatory fees for:

  • manuscript submission;
  • initial editorial screening;
  • peer review;
  • editorial processing;
  • manuscript revision;
  • page charges;
  • colour charges;
  • mandatory language editing;
  • routine online publication; or
  • other supplementary publication charges.

The standard APC of IDR 2,000,000 per accepted article is the only mandatory publication fee charged by SASI.

Fast-Track Publication

SASI does not offer, accept, or provide any fast-track publication service.

The journal does not accept payments or requests for accelerated peer review, expedited editorial decisions, priority handling, preferential processing, or guaranteed publication.

All manuscripts are processed through the same standard editorial workflow, including editorial screening, similarity checking, peer review, revision where required, and final editorial decision.

Payment Timing

The APC is payable only after the manuscript has been formally accepted for publication. Authors should not make any payment at the time of submission, during initial editorial screening, during peer review, or before receiving an official acceptance decision.

Payment instructions will be provided by SASI only after the formal acceptance decision has been issued. Authors should make payments only through the official payment channel specified by the journal.

Payment Procedure

The corresponding author is responsible for coordinating payment of the APC on behalf of all authors. Payment must be made according to the official payment instructions provided by SASI.

Authors should not make payments to individual editors, reviewers, or other persons acting outside the journal's official payment procedure. SASI is not responsible for payments made through unauthorized channels.

APC Refund and Manuscript Withdrawal Policy

Once the APC has been paid, the payment is non-refundable. If an author or authors subsequently request the withdrawal, cancellation, or removal of the accepted manuscript after the APC has been paid, the APC already paid will not be refunded, regardless of the reason for the withdrawal.

Authors are therefore responsible for ensuring that all authors have agreed to proceed with publication before making the APC payment. Payment of the APC constitutes confirmation of the authors' intention to proceed with the publication process.

This non-refundable policy applies whether the withdrawal request is made before publication or after the article has entered the journal's publication process, except where a refund is required by applicable law.

Waiver and Discount

SASI does not provide APC waivers or discounts. The standard Article Processing Charge of IDR 2,000,000 (two million Indonesian Rupiah) applies to each accepted article.

Fee Transparency

SASI publicly discloses its author fees before manuscript submission so that prospective authors can make informed decisions about submitting their work.

The journal clearly identifies its mandatory Article Processing Charge and the publication-related fees that are not charged. No additional mandatory publication charge will be introduced after acceptance unless the charge has been clearly disclosed to the authors in advance.
