Authors who publish their manuscripts in SASI agree to the following conditions:

  1. The copyright in each article remains with the author(s), as well as the right to patent where applicable.
  2. Authors grant SASI a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, preserve, and identify itself as the original publisher of the published work. This license also authorizes the journal to assign a DOI and deposit the article's metadata with Crossref and other indexing, abstracting, discovery, and preservation services.
  3. Authors retain the right to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work, such as posting it to an institutional repository or incorporating it into a book or other scholarly work, provided that the initial publication in SASI is properly acknowledged.
  4. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online, such as in institutional repositories or on their personal or institutional website, prior to and during the submission process, as this may support scholarly communication, knowledge dissemination, and earlier and greater citation of the published work.
  5. Authors have the right to self-archive the article in accordance with the journal's Author Self-Archiving Policy.

All articles published in SASI are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) License.

The CC BY-NC 4.0 License permits users to share, copy, redistribute, adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the published material for non-commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the author(s), a link to the license is provided, and any changes made are indicated. The license does not permit use of the material for commercial purposes.

Copyright and licensing information is displayed on published article pages and should also be indicated in the full-text version of each article where applicable. This supports transparency regarding the ownership, reuse, distribution, and licensing terms of published content.

Author Rights and Self-Archiving

Authors retain copyright in their published works and may share and self-archive their articles in accordance with the journal's Author Self-Archiving Policy. Authors may also enter into separate non-exclusive arrangements for distributing the published version of their work, provided that the original publication in SASI is properly acknowledged.

Relationship with Open Access

The copyright arrangement described in this policy is consistent with the journal's commitment to Open Access. Copyright remains with the author(s), while SASI receives the non-exclusive publishing rights necessary to publish, distribute, archive, preserve, and identify the journal as the original publisher.

All published articles are freely available to readers under the journal's Open Access Policy and the applicable CC BY-NC 4.0 License.
