Journal Description

TATOHI: Jurnal Ilmu Hukum is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pattimura, Indonesia. The journal provides an academic platform for original legal research and scholarly analyses that advance legal knowledge, promote critical legal inquiry, and contribute to the development of legal theory, legislation, and legal practice.

TATOHI welcomes contributions from researchers, academics, legal practitioners, and students whose work examines theoretical, doctrinal, empirical, comparative, and contemporary legal issues. The journal encourages rigorous research on legal systems, judicial decisions, law enforcement, legal institutions, human rights, and the relationship between law, society, and public policy.

Focus and Scope

The journal covers a broad range of legal disciplines, including civil and business law; criminal law and criminal justice; constitutional and administrative law; international law; customary law and agrarian law; environmental and natural resources law; human rights and legal protection; and legal theory and contemporary legal issues, including digital law and artificial intelligence.

TATOHI also welcomes interdisciplinary legal research that contributes to legal reform, access to justice, institutional accountability, and the resolution of contemporary legal problems. Submissions must demonstrate a clear legal focus, sound analysis, and a substantive contribution to legal scholarship.

Publication Frequency

TATOHI: Jurnal Ilmu Hukum is published monthly, with twelve issues per year, from January to December.

Publication Language

The journal accepts scholarly articles written in Indonesian and English. Manuscripts must meet appropriate academic writing and language standards.

Accreditation

TATOHI: Jurnal Ilmu Hukum has been accredited SINTA 5 by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia pursuant to Decree No. 177/E/KPT/2024. According to the accreditation information provided by the journal, the accreditation period covers Volume 1, Issue 10 (2021), through Volume 6, Issue 9 (2026). Readers and prospective authors should consult the official accreditation record for the applicable accreditation period and any subsequent decisions.

To improve author identification, metadata quality, and international visibility of published research, all Corresponding Authors are required to connect and authenticate their ORCID iD through their OJS profile before submitting a manuscript. Manuscript submissions cannot be completed without a verified ORCID iD.
