Authors who publish their manuscripts in Batulis Civil Law Review agree to the following conditions:
- The copyright in each article belongs to the author(s), as well as the right to patent.
- Authors grant Batulis Civil Law Review a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, preserve, and identify itself as the original publisher of the published work. This license also authorizes the journal to assign a DOI and deposit the article's metadata with Crossref and other indexing, abstracting, discovery, and preservation services.
- Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work, such as posting it to an institutional repository or publishing it in a book, with an acknowledgment of its initial publication in Batulis Civil Law Review.
- Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online, such as in institutional repositories or on their website, prior to and during the submission process, as this can lead to productive exchanges as well as earlier and greater citation of published work.
- Authors have the right to self-archive the article in accordance with the journal's Author Self-Archiving Policy.
