2020 — Establishment and First Online Publication
The name BATULIS CIVIL LAW REVIEW combines local and international legal terminology. The word Batulis originates from the local language of Maluku and means "to write," while Civil Law refers to the field of civil law. Together, the name represents a commitment to scholarly writing and the advancement of research in civil law.
BATULIS CIVIL LAW REVIEW was first published online in November 2020 by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pattimura, Indonesia. The journal was established as a platform for disseminating scholarly research and advancing academic discussion in civil law.
2022 — Inclusion in the Directory of Open Access Journals
On December 29, 2022, BATULIS CIVIL LAW REVIEW was included in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), strengthening the journal's visibility and discoverability within the international open-access scholarly publishing community.
2023 — First National Journal Accreditation
On May 11, 2023, BATULIS CIVIL LAW REVIEW received Grade 4 (SINTA 4) national journal accreditation through the Decree of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology No. 79/E/KPT/2023. The accreditation was valid from Volume 2, Number 1 (2021) through Volume 6, Number 2 (2025).
2024 — Three Issues per Year
Beginning in 2024, BATULIS CIVIL LAW REVIEW adopted a publication frequency of three issues per year, scheduled for March, July, and November. This schedule supports the journal's ongoing commitment to the regular dissemination of scholarly research in civil law.
Today, BATULIS CIVIL LAW REVIEW continues to serve as a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pattimura, Indonesia, dedicated to advancing research, scholarly communication, and the development of civil law scholarship.
